This eco-friendly Loofah Kitchen Sponge and Scrubber is made from 70% wood cellulose and 30% cotton, with a natural loofah top and natural cotton string. The loofah plant, also known as the sponge gourd, is a fruit that belongs to the cucumber family. Once matured and dried, the fibrous interior is removed and sewn together to create a natural cellulose sponge.
The natural fibres of the Loofah on this kitchen scrubber are tough enough to remove stubborn stains and grime yet gentle enough to use on delicate surfaces. It's the perfect eco dish-cleaning companion and is also effective for cleaning tables, countertops, tiles, sinks and other hard-to-clean surfaces.
This sponge is a sustainable, eco-friendly and healthier alternative to traditional plastic sponges. It is 100% plastic free and biodegradable at the end of it's life, unlike conventional plastic cleaning sponges and scourers that release microplastics into the water systems and oceans. This kitchen scrubber can be washed and reused again and again. When the time comes to replace your natural kitchen scrubber, it will break down and compost naturally without contributing to the plastic waste problem.
The Loofah Kitchen Sponge & Scrubber from ecoLiving is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic sponges.

Rinse your kitchen sponge well after each use and squeeze and shake out excess water. It's important to maintain and sanitise your natural Loofah regularly. We recommend cleaning your sponge in the dishwasher or immersing it in boiling water for a few minutes with a touch of clear vinegar. Hang your sponge to dry using the natural cotton string, or dry standing up. Not suitable for machine washing
